Learning among peers is based on the fact that people in the same position can learn in the so called nearest development zone. This means that they can cope with problems that they are not able to manage themselves at the moment, but with which someone can help who is just one step further.
Such learning is very effective because it is not necessary to overcome the barriers of inequality, people who enter into such partnerships understand each other very well, have similar experiences, solve similar problems, share the same vocabulary, they are not afraid to ask and do not pretend to know something they, in fact, have no idea about. With practical experience and equality, they can trust each other and thus learn more easily. In addition, not only one of the two partners learns as another important feature is the imitation and illustration. People learn skills by their own activities, but this is supported by an imitation of what others do.
Featured activities include opportunities for people involved in these processes to pick up from each other many things and then simply engage in their own practice.
